Merge with Sovereignty?

[edit]

Seems that this article is very much akin to the other article. Both also need citations. Petercorless (talk) 16:02, 6 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

"first clear application?"

[edit]

"The first clear application of the doctrine of national sovereignty was in the constitutions of the French Revolution (1789–1799)..." Not in the Peace of Westphalia? Is the "national sovereignty" of which the article speaks not in fact Westphalian sovereignty, about which Wikipedia already has an article? Say WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAT, gentlemen? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.41.40.21 (talk) 13:53, 16 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
