Abandoned piers?
[edit]The aerial pictures at Google Maps show what appear to be an old trestle no longer in use, to the east side of the active Trestle 1. This trestle branched at the end to two piers which are also apparently abandoned. These piers have been disconnected from the old trestle, which now dead-ends at water; the westernmost of the old piers, which branched off from the old trestle, can be accessed from the new Trestle 1, and the eastern one, which is inline with the old trestle, runs parallel to the east side of the currently-unused Pier 1 and can be accessed via a side trestle from there.
Nobody seems to have mentioned these structures in the article. Anybody know of the history of this, and when the new structures replaced the old ones? Shalom S. (talk) 19:49, 20 November 2008 (UTC)
