[edit]

I posted a link to this article on Facebook, but the thumbnail image shown with the link is incorrect - it shows the Navy and Marine Corps Overseas Service Ribbon instead of the Navy Expeditionary Medal. 24.61.4.237 (talk) 02:50, 9 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If I remember correctly, you hit the arrow button to cycle the thumbs until you get to the right one. This article has a navigation template at the bottom with thumbs of all of the ribbon bars of the naval service. That is probably why you are getting that one. Cheers. Last awarded in 2002?

[edit]

The infobox notes that it is currently awarded but also (with a footnote that is just text) notes that the last award was in 2002. I don't have a source on hand, but since I deployed after 2002 and I have a few of these, I think we're still handing them out. Protonk (talk) 12:10, 18 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, I've seen a handful of sailors with this award. 02:24, 2 June 2015 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 100.3.240.69 (talk)
". . .I deployed after 2002 and I have a few of these. . ." --- not likely. Please don't make false claims here. Cite your citation(s). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.32.67.176 (talk) 14:58, 11 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not demeaning you or your service, but what you have (that they hand out like candy) is the NCM, not the NEM — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.32.67.176 (talk) 19:22, 11 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
