Help
[edit]Guys this page is created bringing all localities of pune at one place. Links here are red which means that corresponding pages are not created OR they are there but links are need to be corrected to point them. Please create pages that do not exist and/or help rectifying links. [Annon] As a international users I have a vague idea where this city is located, however you give no geographical reference here. Please make it clear where this is at or put a reference to an article that gives a full description. From the name of the town it would seem to be in Australia or some place in Pakistan. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 111.165.11.103 (talk) 18:24, 14 February 2010 (UTC)

Including Satara road, market yard in the 'old city' is a bit of overkill. Till very recently the area around market yard was just hills. On what basis have we created eight sections. If there is no specific wellknown list then can we add another area for Bibwewadi, Market Yard, Satara road, Katraj? or may be all this can go into Dhankawadi, Katraj.
Also sinhagad road with Paud Road is a bit weird. There is a river in between. That group can be just Karve road, Karvenagar, Paud Road and Bavdhan. --Kaveri 20:42, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
- Yes there are some discrepancies in list. I am not sure about Dhankawdi, Katraj areas, I have not visited those areas, so you can change the those at your will. Also I agree that sinhgadh road should not come in kothrud, but then where does it go? Bawdhan is (maybe) wrongly mentioned in Aundh area, I think we can shift it in kothrud. About 8 sections, well If you feel they should be renamed, then come up with list here, and we can publish it once all interested users agree to it. spacejuncky 11:35, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
- This is my first attempt
- City (old city) consists of peths like Shaniwar Peth, Sadashiv Peth, Kasba Peth, Narayan Peth, Ganesh Peth, Shukrawar Peth, Raviwar Peth, Budhwar Peth, Mangalwar Peth, Somwar Peth, Bhawani Peth, Guruwar Peth, Nana Peth, Navi Peth,
- Deccan consists of sub localities like Shivaji Nagar, F.C Road, J.M. Road, Senapati Bapat Road, Bhandarkar Road, Prabhat Road, Corporation, University Road and vicinity.
- Camp stretches from Dhole Patil Road and vicinity on the ---- Koregaon Park, Ghorpuri, Shankarshet road and salisbury Park on the ----, M.G.Road and vicinity being the central shopping area.
- Aundh consists of Aundh, Baner, Khadki, Pashan.
- Kalyani Nagar consists of Kalyani Nagar, Viman Nagar, Bund Garden, Yerawda and Vishrantwadi
- Kothrud consists of Kothrud, Karve Nagar, Paud Road ending at the outskirts of the city and the newly developed area of Bavdhan.
- Kondhwa consists of Kondhwa, Hadapsar, Fatima Nagar, Lulla Nagar, Wanowarie.
- Dhankawadi consists of Dhankawadi, Katraj, Bibwewadi and the areas around the Pune-Satara Road (starting from Swargate) including marketyard the wholesale vegetable, fruit and grain market.
I was thinking of more geographically based names for example Northeast, southwest, north of river or something like that rather than Dhankawadi, Aundh etc. It is misleading as Aundh is just Aundh and not Aundh Baner, Pashan. I have to think a bit more about it though and look closely at the map. --Kaveri 17:15, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
- Good work, list seems more refined. Your last point of geographically dividing pune is also ponderous. Go ahead and put everything you think here. I will chip in whenever I get time.
Cheers! spacejuncky 04:59, 11 June 2007 (UTC)
