Prognosis

[edit]

--200.232.133.110 16:31, 6 August 2006 (UTC)Prognosis== Loss of blood protein(s) can result in a number of problems including swelling, excessive water retention, and the danger of blood clots (as a result of the removal of anti-coagulation proteins).[reply]

It is a serious, incurable condition, but it goes into spontaneous remission in about half of all cases.

Nephritis is the 9th leading cause of death in the United States

Capatilization

[edit]

Should N(n)ephritis be capatilized or not?

ALSO the 'SYMPTOM' given of proteinuria is a 'SIGN' not a 'SYMPTOM'.

Please list symptoms of patients; there are many and these are important!

Nephritis is a broad term

that can characterize a number of very different disease states affecting the kidney. This article should spell that out in a very general manner and briefly distinguish the specific diseases that are often given the name nephritis.

Providing a description of the symptoms, prognosis, and treatment of this so-called "nephritis" is inappropriate, particularly when the description provided here is of one specific disease (nephrotic syndrome). Ultimately the symptoms, prognosis, and treatment of "nephritis" depend on exactly what kind of nephritis the patient has.

As a start, I've removed the symptoms, prognosis, and treatment sections, so as to not misinform the prospective reader. Caeculus 12:53, 28 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Needs symptoms, prognosis, and treatment sections

[edit]

Taking out the symptoms, prognosis, and treatment sections has knocked it back to early rough stub class. Suggest to re-instate for something far better than present stub, as placeholder until something better yet can be completed and uploaded.

Needs either very clear referral to each separate kind of Nephritis and explanation of the differences, or consolidated sections here for symptoms, prognosis, and treatment.

Translation?

[edit]

Could someone please translate this article into plain English that the rest of us can understand? Thank you. Rissa (talk) 00:22, 6 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
