Even as a stub this lacks. Its orientation is industrial, there is no history, and it confuses netting with crocheting (filet and tambour are both crochet: in fact, tambour is the older name before "crochet" was used. It speaks not at all of the method of needle and mesh, let alone fisherman's nets at the macro end of the scale, nor of its use as the basis of guipure.

Aaaagh! Do I have to do this? I came here to *get* information, not write something.
