I didn't think it was a failure. I'm not afraid to admit that, when I was younger, I watched the show and bought the cassette. I don't even think that CD's out were out at the time. I actually found someone several years ago that made .mp3's of the songs on the casette, and they are still regarded as one of my most treasured 'finds' on the internet. Sure it's not some heady sweeping radiohead/coldplay epic, but it was good ol' fashion fun rock n roll. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.43.156.90 (talk • contribs)

Nonetheless, the show was savaged by critics and Monkees fans alike, and music stores couldn't give the records away (I know; I worked in a few)... and CDs appeared about five years before this show. Zephyrad 07:35, 25 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

CD's might have been in existance 5 years before this show, but they certainly hadn't quite caught on yet as of the time this show was out. Most people were buying cassettes.70.229.41.252 07:50, 31 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
