Touring shields[edit]

This is now a touring route once again from Lakeville to New Hype Pk Rd. I have a photo of a new NY 25C shield. I just can't figure how to upload it.Andrew Kirschner (talk) 01:08, 22 April 2013 (UTC) Wikipedia says that while original sources are usually not good for citations, this depends on the context. The picture pretty clinches it. The photo is now in the article.Andrew Kirschner (talk) 01:34, 22 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Technically WP:OI is the valid policy. However, I am kind of curious to how this happened to come back. Mitch32(It is very likely this guy doesn't have a girlfriend.) 03:14, 22 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Also, any chance you could edit the photo to cut out the car from the photo? Might be useful. Mitch32(It is very likely this guy doesn't have a girlfriend.) 10:12, 22 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
This really isn't a valid citation. Until the DOT says otherwise, this is merely a contractor error and the route still does not exist. – TMF (talk) 16:34, 22 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This article is clearly incorrect in that the route is in fact signed. In addition, I agree with Andrew above that the photo could be used as a citation to show that the route is once again NY 25C. Is there any proof of a contractor error? Mapmann (talk) 01:47, 24 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure, but it's not as if there haven't been any contractor errors before. Sometime during the mid-1970's there were signs along the Hutchinson River Parkway for the former New York State Route 126 at the Mamaroneck Avenue interchange. ---------User:DanTD (talk) 02:23, 24 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Everything I've read said NY 25C. My friends from NYSDOT also have noted NYSDOT will never use suffixed routes again, so why would it come back as 25C? 525 makes more sense. Also, why only this piece. It's an error and there is no source pointing to its return. Mitch32(Wikipedia's worst Reform Luddite.) 19:24, 24 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
