Peninsula?

 – I'll be more careful to read the lede next time. GiftigerWunsch [TALK] 14:41, 28 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I just removed the category "Category:Peninsulas of the United States" as the article suggests it is an isle, not a peninsula. Feel free to revert me if it is shown to be a peninsula. GiftigerWunsch [TALK] 14:23, 28 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article specifically states in plain language right in the lede and elsewhere, with citations, that it is in fact a peninsula. In fact just about every reference used in the article mentions that it is not an island. I dont know how else I can make it clearer.Camelbinky (talk) 14:37, 28 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
No need to be rude. I was going by the fact that the title is "isle" and the map shows what looks much more like an isle than a peninsula. GiftigerWunsch [TALK] 14:38, 28 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I seriously wasnt trying to be rude, I was genuinely worried that it wasnt clear enough in the article and I didnt know what else to do. I have since put one of the references right at the first sentence to be a source for it being a peninsula versus an island. If you look at the map the western end of the "island" is landlocked and not surrounded by water, though I do wish I had a better map this is the only free-use map I could find. Sorry for the confusion.Camelbinky (talk) 15:15, 28 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
No problem, sorry for the misunderstanding. The article does make it perfectly clear, I just glanced at the title and the map and I should have at least read the lede, so my mistake. GiftigerWunsch [TALK] 15:49, 28 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
