Possible improvement
[edit]I have just completed the B class checklist and feel that this article could be improved by adding in line citations to assist in the verification process. Once this has been done, you may like to request re-assessment. This can be done by putting the article's name in the appropriate section on WP:MHA. Hope this helps. Facts
[edit]I've just read an obituary in the Times today (Wed 8 July 2009) "Squadron Leader Leonard Feltham" (p. 56). He is described as in late 1941 after converting to Spitfires joining 232 Sqn at the time based in LLanbedr in North Wales but began to see much more action when it moved south to Debden, Essex and Gravesend, Kent from where it conducted sorties over northern France, including hectic air fighting over the ill-fated Dieppe raid in August 1942 (I see the squadron is included in the Dieppe OOB). The squadron was then sent to the Western Desert to support Eighth Army (although I can't find the squadron in the Western Desert Airforce OOB for 27 October 1942 and I can't find mention of 232 Sqn in the Playfair Official History (Vol IV). None of this seems to fit with the text in the 232 Sqn article. I'm not going to change it because I don't have appropriate sources to cite - can anyone else help? - Duh. Just didn't read far enough. Stephen Kirrage talk - contribs 12:58, 8 July 2009 (UTC)
