I would like to congratulate this article for pointing out that the Chronicle and Echo was a merger of two earlier papers. However, it says it is known locally as "The Chron". In all the years I have lived in Northampton (which is a very long time, since 1993, thus making it twenty-five years now) I am sure I have heard it referred to as "The ChronEch".
