Ocular Ischemic Syndrome

[edit]

My mother was diagnoised with this 3 weeks ago. After three different retinal eye specialists, I am convinced there is nothing more to do. My question is that how can a healthy 61 year old woman just wake up blind? The only problem she does have is high cholesterol, 3 months ago and began Zocar? Is there a possibility this medication loosed the plaque and it lodged in her eye? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 4.155.132.4 (talk) 23:44, 10 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

English???

[edit]

As I write, this is the first sentence in this article: "Ocular ischemic syndrome is the constellation of ocular signs and symptoms secondary to severe, chronic arterial hypoperfusion to the eye."

I feel like Kyle's mom Sheila Broflovski from South Park: "WHAT, WHAT, WHAT!?"

I like technical articles filled with jargon, but when an article starts with jargon, it becomes essentially worthless to the general reader who needs an executive summary to introduce the topic. Can someone write something a little more human for people who haven't passed their first year of med school? 192.249.47.204 (talk) 18:47, 22 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
