Merge Proposal

[edit]

This article, Of all Rus', could be merged into the main article All-Russian nation as one section, which is heavily realted and could also be easier explained. The content of this article is not enough for an independent one, and the size will not cause any further problems as far as I concern. --WWbreadOpen Your Mouth?15:25, 16 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Strong disagree. They are different things. All-Russian nation is a ideology of 19th century. Of all Rus is a part of title (Metropolitan of Kiev and all Rus', Patriarch of Moscow and all Rus', Grand Prince of Moscow and all Rus', Sovereign, Tsar and Grand Prince of all Rus') used since 12th century. --TarzanASG (talk) 16:13, 16 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
@TarzanASG: Have you actually read the article, All-Russian nation? It deals with its historical roots finding expression as the 19th century concept - the 19th century being the era in which the political and philosophical notion of nations/nation-states began to take root - and beyond. By no means was the "All-Russian nation" a stand-alone ideology which sprang out of a vacuum: it evolved within a distinct historical context which is explored and elaborated on in the article (including that which you identify as being 'different things'). You are also welcome to express your concerns regarding merging this stub in the corresponding discussion taking place on the All-Russian nation talk page. --Iryna Harpy (talk) 04:59, 17 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
