I propose merging this article with the Lands Administration Building article, which has more detail on the building. A redirect from the other name for the building (ie Old Exective Building, Brisbane) would be retained. Paddington62 02:56, 8 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

If the two articles are merged, the 'editing history' should be retained for chronological ordering of the information about this building, as well as the redirect information (yes, I know that I am the creator of this article, but it is not an ego thing - retaining the complete editing history is preferred by Wikipedia).

Also, it would be nice if the two images on this article could be retained if the two articles are merged.

It is a pity that the article was not moved to the new name - rather than a second article being created, but this was possibly an oversight by Paddington62, who is the creator of the more recent article, as well as being the proposer of the merge. Figaro 01:51, 28 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

What is the Building called today? I think the article should be moved to whatever the modern mane for it is. I have changed the merge tad on this page and on the other page but please change them if I have them around the wrong way. Also, I don't think we should have four photos of the facade of the same building in an article. Best just to chose two I think. I think the black and white one on the other page is a good one because it shows the whole building. And then maybe include a colour one. I agree that the two articles should be merged. However, as I commented earlier, the article page should have been moved to the new title of Lands Administration building (thereby retaining the integrity of the full editing history), instead of a new article being created with the title. I was not aware that the building was known as the Lands Adminisition building until the proposal to merge was added to the page. If I had known that the heritage title was Lands Adminisitration building, then I would have created this article with that title and the current situation would not have arisen. I never claimed that the building was called the "Old" Executive Building - the reason why I added the word 'old' to the title of the page, was merely in order to avoid confusing this article with the article about the present Executive Building. Figaro 23:32, 20 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
