Notability

[edit]

Alrighty then... this quote comes from the band's website, which is linked to in the article: "Over their history Oneiroid Psychosis has charted all over Eroupe, Canada, and South America, as well as all over the US. They have also been featured and interviewed in magazines, newspapers, and radio shows from Russia, Europe, Canada, South America and the US." I'm not sure I can verify this myself, but I'm in contact with Lars, so I can ask him about it. I do know for sure that they've been interviewed in Gothic Beauty magazine, which is basically the magazine to go to for Goth culture.

While I'm not sure about COP Int. or Decibel records, OP released their third album on Nilaihah, which is an important darkwave label. They've worked with members of The Azoic and Android Lust (from Projekt, another important darkwave label): both notable bands.

And of course, there's the list of darkwave music artists. OP have been on the list since January, and although at that time it didn't say "A list of notable Darkwave artists," no one appears to have disputed their position on the list since the inclusion of that key word. So if they're notable enough to be on the list, I think they're notable enough to have their own article... and that's all I have the energy for at 8:40 AM. Ric 8:41, 4 June 2006 (UTC)

Grounds for deletion?

[edit]

Is this really necessary? I would like to try and re-write the article so it is more in line with wiki policy, or maybe suggest that it be marked for someone else to edit? Straight up deletion seems a bit harsh. Dystopiate7 (talk) 07:15, 20 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Added reference and source. It seems like all that needs to be done is for it to be rewritten to match the uniformity of other wiki articles and not come across as human instead of an encyclopedia entry Dystopiate7 (talk) 03:03, 6 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

      • As an owner of every OP CD that has been released, and will purchase the one that OP is currently working on, I would be extremely offended if OP were deleted from Wiki. The OP webpage talks of work on an upcoming release, and there are newsletters that go out periodically. They are darkwave music at its finest, and should be recognized for all that they have done.
