I am the creator of Open Source Shakespeare, and I would like to document the site's notability. According to the notability guidelines, it must be "the subject of multiple non-trivial published works whose source is independent of the site itself." One example is Wikipedia, which cites OSS in at least 40 articles, for example the William Shakespeare article. Here are some university web sites (mostly libraries) that cite OSS:

According to Google Analytics web usage statistics, OSS gets about 35,000-40,000 unique visitors a month during the academic year. --Leobinus (talk) 02:14, 5 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

File:Oss screenshot.gif Nominated for speedy Deletion

[edit]

An image used in this article, File:Oss screenshot.gif, has been nominated for speedy deletion for the following reason: Wikipedia files with no non-free use rationale as of 3 December 2011

What should I do?

Don't panic; you should have time to contest the deletion (although please review deletion guidelines before doing so). The best way to contest this form of deletion is by posting on the image talk page.

  • If the image is non-free then you may need to provide a fair use rationale
  • If the image isn't freely licensed and there is no fair use rationale, then it cannot be uploaded or used.
  • If the image has already been deleted you may want to try Deletion Review
