I realy dont know what a tread stone is but it sounds very interesting. Hi my name is Sarah Doyle from the news and I will get straight on the story AND IT WIL BE ON THERE TONIGHT!

Should Clive Owen's role as The Professor in the first film be listed under operatives?

Blackfriar[edit]

I watched the bourne ultimatium in Leiscter Square Odeon and they had subtitles on, I was sure that it was blackFriar? :S —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.68.154.115 (talk) 20:38, 6 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Blackbriar[edit]

Treadstone and Blackbriar are different operations, Blackbriar replaced Treadstone but has more powers than it's predecessor. This means Desh Bouksani who is a Blackbriar operative is not a Treadstone operative. All the other Bourne Ultimatum operatives work for Blackbriar and not Treadstone.

I guess the question is, is this page about Operation Treadstone or Operation and Operation Blackbriar? ≈ Seraph 22:13, 22 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Jarda is Manhiem? In Identity Conklin says "send all agents Zorn mentions "all three?/all of them?" Jarda mentions being the last tredstone agent, plus manhiem wasnt killed in Identity. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.31.245.143 (talk) 00:44, August 30, 2007 (UTC)

  • They did look very much alike, especially when Jarda takes off his glasses. However, they already possess different codenames, and the actors who played them are different people as well Masterblooregard 21:22, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Where was it mentioned that Kirill is a Blackbriar agent? I know it looked very much like he had that kind of training, and it would make sense but I have yet to see anything to confirm this. Masterblooregard 05:32, 31 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Kirill suffers headaches throught the course of the film, he also is sensative to bright lights which Bourne uses against him in the tunnel chase scene.--JohnnyMul-Holland 16:13, 31 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I don't really think that makes him a Treadstone/Blackbriar operative. He seems more like a FSB agent who freelances for Yuri Gretkov for some extra money. If he was really a Treadstone/Blackbriar agent it seems highly unlikely that the CIA would allow him to work for Yuri Gretkov, or would be unaware of his freelancing. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.27.121.39 (talk) 07:24, 3 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Also, Ward Abbott had to have been within the Blackbriar chain of command, as hinted at from the first film. If Kirill was a Blackbriar operative secretly on loan to Gretkov then Abbott should have been able to directly order the follow-up hit on Jason Bourne instead of having to go through Gretkov as you see during the film Masterblooregard 01:36, 19 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Operatives.[edit]

Some confusion about active operatives. There was the London assassin who killed Ross. He escapes via the London Underground. Second, there is the New York agent who Bourne wounds in the car crash, and allows Bourne to escape on the rooftop. He survives.

Both of these must at least have been Treadstone (former-), or more probably, BlackBriar.

Are these the same person (unlikely - how long would it have taken to activate a London operative and get him to NY)? Which (if any) is Paz? 81.109.255.197 (talk) 05:24, 15 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Also, a dumb question : Paz is often referred to as operating out of Naples. Naples, Italy? Or is there a district of New York called Naples? It's 7000km from Naples, Italy to NY. Yet, Paz was activated (if he is the NY operative) in minutes. Hmm. 81.109.255.197 (talk) 05:31, 15 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Is this the work of fiction or a real CIA operation?[edit]

Although I know that this operation is a work of fiction, but this article can put a bias between a real world espionage opration and a fictional one. Readers might think that this is a real CIA operation. The mention of fiction in the beginning of this article is not strong enough.

I added "fictional" in a few more places.--Patrick (talk) 09:12, 29 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Redirection[edit]

There was something called Treadstone 71 in the The Bourne Identity (novel), but was there an Operation Treadstone? I'm now realizing I don't remember. --DocumentN (talk) 20: 33, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
