Conflicting dates of establishment and grand masters; confusion between Orders of St. George

[edit]

This article includes no date of establishment, and it says the grand master is Georg von Habsburg. At Order of Saint George (House of Habsburg)#Further development, it is said that Order of St. George (Habsburg-Lorraine) was established in 2011 and that its head is Karl von Habsburg. At Karl von Habsburg#House of Habsburg, it was linking to Order of Saint George (House of Habsburg) instead, and claiming an establishment date of 2008; regardless which modern date is correct for Order of St. George (Habsburg-Lorraine), the link can't be right, since Order of Saint George (House of Habsburg) dates to 1469 and eventually was transferred to the Jesuits; then "[u]pon the dissolution of the Austro-Hungarian Empire ... [t]he order's history was partly adopted by ... the Order of the Four Emperors". So while Order of Saint George (House of Habsburg) was not formally dissolved, it basically doesn't exist any longer.  — SMcCandlish ¢ 😼  18:23, 20 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
