Why Ottawa?
[edit]Why were these rules called the Ottawa rules? Anything to do with Ottawa, Ontario? --Someones life 00:32, 2 March 2006 (UTC)
- Yup. See the edits to the article. :) Nephron 03:02, 2 March 2006 (UTC)

Which department of emergency medicine?
[edit]The History section currently starts with the sentence "The Ottawa ankle rules were developed by a team at the department of emergency medicine in Ottawa, Canada." Which department of emergency medicine does this refer to - the one at the University of Ottawa, the one at the Ottawa Hospital, the one at the Public Health Agency of Canada, or somewhere else? 76.10.158.32 (talk) 23:48, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
Age?
[edit]I had it in my head that over 55 years you would do x-ray anyway. Is this in the rules, or an addon from somewhere else? 219.89.193.223 (talk) 00:15, 14 March 2011 (UTC)
Distinction between foot and ankle rules
[edit]The section "Ottawa ankle rules" includes in the second paragraph some "foot rules", without making clear (enough) if these are distinct from the ankle rules, and when what applies. Any clarification should take care that the applicability of the qualifications (pregnancy, children) in the last paragraph of the section is also clearly specified; it may be that this paragraph should be in a separate section. 198.184.231.254 (talk) 11:13, 21 March 2011 (UTC) (PJTraill not logged in)
