Peter Gabriel's OVO
[edit]Would it be relevant to include discussion of the similarity between this show's title and the subtitle (and title of the music album by Peter Gabriel) of the 2000 Millennium Dome Show, described in its Wikipedia article and elsewhere as Cirque de Soleil-esque? Even the logo is similar; in the CdS show "OVO" is described as being derived from the eyes and nose of an insect; in the Gabriel album's sleeve notes "OVO" is described as being derived from a boy's eyes and slanted eyebrows. I can't help feeling the similarity is noteworthy, even notable...Lee M (talk) 21:22, 2 July 2011 (UTC)
- I reviewed the article OVO and the article you mentioned, but not sure if it's really relevant—a coincidence perhaps? Most CdS logos have multiple imagery built in, but I wouldn't be surprised if perhaps inspiration was drawn from the description you mentioned, but I think it would require a bit more evidence to quantify adding it.
