Pornography stub

Please do not label this as pornography, as the stance on this being pornography is highly debateable. Ohyeahmormons 23:39, 17 April 2006 (UTC)

It might have been until this summer, when Playboy began producing hardcore adult film. Playboy is a hardcore pornographer, no different than Hustler (LFP), except that Playboy continues to hold non-hardcore assets. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.56.217.213 (talkcontribs)

Pornography is generally designated as any graphic visual or video footage that is intended to stimulate arousal. If what this enterprise produces doesn't fit that label then please explain why. FreedomFighterXL (talk) 05:04, 17 December 2007 (UTC)

Playboy is not pornography according to the former Attorney General of the United States - Edwin Meese. He headed up the Meese Commission on Pornography. When he went after pornography in the early 1980s, he always said he didn't mean Playboy. The source of this information is a 2hr TV documentary on the history of Playboy that aired on regular television. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.143.75.206 (talk) 20:00, 13 February 2017 (UTC)

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Playboy Enterprises. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Ownership; and Assets as of 2016

Maybe somebody can add some documented information on what percentage of ownership Hugh Hefner retained, after the 2011 private take-over. Also, the value of the company increased significantly, after the huge purchase price of the Playboy Mansion in 2016. While this was an asset of Playboy corporation, and not owned personally by Hefner, he still had unrealized capital gains indirectly through his shares of stock.206.192.35.125 (talk) 14:30, 8 June 2016 (UTC)

Hugh Hefner did not own any part of the mansion, it has always been wholly owned by Playboy Enterprises, Inc., Hefner had an agreement with the company to live there in perpetuity, what the arrangements are now in 2017 and what Playboy will do with the property now since Hefner's death is still up in the air. I stand partially corrected, Playboy Enterprises sold the property to a neighboring owner who under the agreement let Hefner live there until his death. YborCityJohn (talk) 05:49, 10 October 2017 (UTC)
