The first christian church in India is at Palayoor. The church built in AD52 by St. Thomas, desciple of Jesus Christ. This place is the craddle of Indian Christianity.

There is no historical proof for the above statement. The church has not been archeological dated. Wishful thinking does not make history
M. Kelkar Visit palayoorchurch.org for correct details.
In the mentioned site didn't mention that palayoor is not the first x'tain church in india. Please visit the following pages for the correct details : http://www.indianchristianity.org/pilgrim.html http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saint_Thomas_Christians http://indiaculture.net/talk/messages/65/9611.html?1015446176

Religious nonsense
[edit]This article imparts very little useful information on Palayoor or the church. No citations, no references, just stuff that has been made up by an editor or editors who want to believe it to be true. The "history" section is the story of a miracle and of course an instant conversion to the new faith, repeated again in the next section, and the "how to reach" (the first time I've ever seen that as a segment title in a Wiki article) section is simply directions for those wanting to make a pilgrimage to the site. This is drivel, and the entire article needs a complete rewrite if not speedy deletion. PJtP (talk) 00:25, 1 January 2016 (UTC)
