[edit]I have removed the following added by User:138.236.152.199
- Nomadic and or sedentary, the pastoralists centered around raising large animals, usually cattle, sheep, goats and horses. Pastoral nomadism is an agricultural system wherein pracictioners depend on the seasonal movements of livestock withing natural environments (often depends on water sources and pastures).
My reasons are:
- Sounds conversational, like it was intended to be on the talk page
- Past tense. Pastoralists still exist.

Change to redirect & create Pastoralist (disambiguation)
[edit]Strongly suggest that this page should redirect to Pastoralism as use of the term is overwhelmingly in that context, and to put a {{redirect|Pastoralist}} tag on that page. That would in turn create a link to Pastoralist (disambiguation), to which page the contents currently on this page could be transferred, along with a ==See also== to Pastoral (disambiguation).--A12n (talk) 15:06, 23 December 2012 (UTC)
- Seems reasonable to me.
- BTW, here in Australia, "pastoralist" always means someone who owns or runs a sheep station or cattle station, perhaps because "pastoralist" is shorter than "sheep station owner". But I guess Americans would use "rancher" instead, so the Australian usage is a special case.
