There is an active community group within Pather called Pather Action Group. The groups aim is to provide play and recreation facilities within the park adjacent to Thornlie Primary School. To date the group have held various events including playdays, ceilidh and design events for the local residents and children. The children and young people of Pather have also completed an animation dvd detailing their hopes for their play area.
