Article that discusses the disease

[edit]

This article will discuss the disease while crab louse will discuss the organism. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 19:56, 31 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

These two articles should be merged. Having this article on its own is pretty much like having an article about the Influenza B virus and the disease it causes separate, even though it is a lot tinier. NewbTopolis Rex (talk) 22:57, 13 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Review article

[edit]

Have found a good review article with which I will start:

  • Leone PA (2007). "Scabies and pediculosis pubis: an update of treatment regimens and general review". Clin. Infect. Dis. 44 Suppl 3: S153–9. doi:10.1086/511428. PMID 17342668. {{cite journal}}: Unknown parameter |month= ignored (help)

Article's name correct?

[edit]

Is this lemma/article named correctly? ICD-10 (version 2015) and DiseasesDB (as linked in the article) list the disease as Phthiriasis. Is there even a source that names it Pediculosis Pubis? --Mopskatze (talk) 02:27, 18 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Not that I can find. I spent a while looking this week, and I turned up with nothing. NewbTopolis Rex (talk) 22:48, 13 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

ICD-10 Official Name is Pediculosis Aguda

[edit]

It is one of the new codes that replace the “pubis” designation. Please refer to the official source here: https://www.icd10data.com/ICD10CM/Codes/A00-B99/B85-B89/B85-/B85.0 2600:1012:B1A1:F725:B899:D884:353D:8EFF (talk) 06:06, 18 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
