Pippi Longstocking

[edit]

Where in Houston did the Pippi Longstocking series aired, besides HBO and Qubo, I saw that it was on the ABC Weekend Specials, was that their series that was on the weekend specials? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.91.103.128 (talk) 20:06, 18 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Opening theme

[edit]

As best I can tell, the voice of Pippi in the opening theme sounds like how she does in the show, so I hope I am right in assuming that Melissa Altro sings it... although this page does not indicate that and this would be a good detail to include.

Also I am wondering if anyone knows if Altro might sing the opening theme of Miss BG. For an audio comparison, here is the BG opening (sung in 2005 when Altro was 23) and (here is the Pippi 1997 openingsung in 1997 when Altro was 15, if that was her) I can not find credits for either song so it is hard to find out. --Ranze (talk) 02:49, 17 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The date 1997 does NOT correspond to the TV series

[edit]

The link in BROADCAST apparently refers to the delayed October release of the TV Movie, not the series. Is the 1997 article name completely erroneous?! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dfoofnik (talkcontribs) 23:13, 14 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

User:Dfoofnik, the date is mentioned several times in the cited article, which may have been confusing. I've now added the specific quotation being referenced. Mdrnpndr (talk) 16:40, 16 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Still differs from standard. i.e. the film was not an actual pilot for the series, as the series was already contemplated. Other sources use 1998. Dfoofnik (talk) 20:48, 22 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

User:Dfoofnik, other sources may use 1998 because it was (apparently – I haven't seen reliable proof of this) the first airdate in the US, but that is obviously not the original airdate according to the cited article. Also, there's no mention of a pilot in that article. Mdrnpndr (talk) 22:48, 22 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
