Expression[edit]

The term plank-owner is a common expression in the US Navy. While the article may need expansion, I do not see why it needs the verify flag Oldfarm 04:35, 16 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've removed the verify tag, as it is easy to verify. It needs editing though, as it's word for word from the link I posted. It's a US Government source though, so it's not a copyvio. Kevin 08:47, 16 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Plank Owner Honors[edit]

Besides the Plank Owner's entitlement to a piece of the ship upon decommissioning, are their any honors given when visiting a ship still in commission? Specifically, will the Quarterdeck of the ship announce the arrival of a visiting Plank Owner? I had heard this once a long time ago but am now unable to verify the information.

why is this a "Montana stub"?[edit]

I'll be removing the stub tag. Mang (talk) 23:03, 7 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
