Northwest Caucasian[edit]

It is not Northwest Caucasian which is called Pontic. Pontic is a phylogenetic proposal linking Northwest Caucasian with Indo-European. Pontic is thus a hypothetical language phylum. And Proto-Pontic is the hypothetical common ancestor of Proto-Indo-European and Proto-Northwest Caucasian.
