This article
[edit]This article looks like a promotional article about a non-notable Linux distro. It desperately needs reliable third party refs to should notability and avoid being deleted as spam. - Ahunt (talk) 18:34, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
- I found one article on Softpedia and added that as a ref and detagged it, but it still needs more third party refs added. - Ahunt (talk) 14:57, 31 January 2011 (UTC)
- I found one as well:
- "Porteus is a Slackware-based distribution and live CD featuring the KDE desktop. It was created by the Slax user community as a logical continuation of the now discontinued Slackware-based live CD."
- The added "read more at Distrowatch" seems not to be true, since I only find on Distrowatch the link to porteus.org, but no additional info. Maybe I just't don't get how distrowatch works, though....
- But where to put it in? Same like you did with your above third party reference? Rava77 (talk) 09:25, 25 February 2011 (UTC)
- That is a good find, it doesn't say much, but I'll add it in. If DistroWatch does start a page on it then we can use that as well, but for now they just have it "on-hold". - Ahunt (talk) 13:35, 25 February 2011 (UTC)
Jargon
[edit]Re "... for x86 (32-bit) based systems as well as for x86_64 (64-bit) ...": Would that be understandable for the average reader? --Mortense (talk) 20:55, 25 September 2015 (UTC)
- Fixed - Ahunt (talk) 18:46, 26 September 2015 (UTC)
Error Found?
[edit]Hey guys, I think I may have found an error with the page. On Porteus Kiosk's section, I saw that the Latest Release was the fifth, three days ago. However, that part of the section is saying that the fifth was zero days ago, like so:
Latest release 4.1.0 / September 5, 2016; 0 days ago
Any ideas on how we can go about getting this fixed?
Thanks, Kingstevenrules
