Contested deletion
[edit]This page should not be speedy deleted because it is relevant information about a specific type of road racer that is not covered by wiki. You can see a reference to it in the German language version of wiki. It was lumped under climber which is not totally accurate.
- First of all, please define the term/name Puncheur in the article. What exactly is it, a bicycle, a motorbike? After that please add a source that backs up the claims stated in the article or we'll have to delete it as original research. Thank you. De728631 (talk) 20:07, 10 July 2011 (UTC)
- A Puncher is defined specifically in the first sentence as a road bicycle racer and then describes the characteristics of this type of racer. The article describes the types of races this racer excels and examples of racers of this type. I plan to enhance this, but for now its a clear definition and a commonly used word in the bicycle racing world. There is even a definition in German language version of wiki. I name three sources where the term is used. There is also a Tour de France publication that defines types of riders including a Puncheur, but I haven't tracked it down yet. Puncheur
[edit]How about including women/female riders in list of riders fitting the type for "puncheur"? 2601:645:201:F4C0:44DC:4C02:C7A3:4592 (talk) 14:57, 26 July 2022 (UTC)
