Proposed split
[edit]Nobody discussed this on the talk page yet so I'll start it I guess!
- Oppose - While I agree with the editor suggesting the split that these are two different concepts (one sociological and one historical/ideological), I oppose the split since I don't believe there is enough content to support the split. The article currently only contains content on the former. Instead I think it would make sense to create a new Race in Jewish texts or Race in Judaism page (if a similar page doesn't already exist - I couldn't find one).

- I have a mixed view on this partially because I get the argument being made here, I do think most (but not all) ethnic minorities have a "racism in x communities" article. That said, not all. There is no equivalent racism in African-American communities or racism in Asian American communities, for example, but there is a racism in Hispanic and Latino American communities and a racism in Muslim communities page. So while I understand the complaint, it does seem to fit with other Wikipedia-style pages, though it would be nice if Wikipedia were to make its list more expansive and make the articles which are written about feel less selective. Jewish efforts to reduce racism
[edit]Hi. Would it be fine for this article to include efforts by Jews and Jewish communities to reduce racism? This could cover anti-racism efforts within Jewish communities and also beyond it. Of course, would need to be based on reliable sources. ProfGray (talk) 13:15, 12 April 2024 (UTC)
- Sure. If there gets to be too much, we can spin it off to another article. Firefangledfeathers (talk / contribs) 13:24, 12 April 2024 (UTC)
