Deletion discussion[edit]

I removed this from the speedy deletion queue because a Google search gave hits that I couldn't evaluate. The "news, books, scholar" links gave almost nothing, so I'm proposing deletion and posting at WP:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Film#Proposed deletions. Imdb.com verifies the existence of the film. - Dank (formerly Dank55) (push to talk) 15:58, 4 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This four word long "article" definitely qualifies for speedy deletion. 209.247.22.166 (talk) 17:05, 5 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Well, the film exits. Sadly the article doesn't. Give me a few and I'll see if I can manage to flesh it out to a Wikipedia standard. Age Happens (talk) 17:15, 5 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Well, it's still a stub. At least it says something about the movie now. I suspect that the original page with just "1944 Russian film" was created as a placeholder when the disambiguation page for Raduga was created. Age Happens (talk) 19:06, 5 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Nice work. - Dank (formerly Dank55) (push to talk) 03:19, 6 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the help with the page, everyone! This was my first attempt at creating a page, and I was doing it somewhat on the fly to keep it from being deleted. It seemed a shame that such a seemingly important Soviet WWII-era propaganda film, which was even shown in the US during the war, should be deleted. Sadly, since it was my first attempt at creating a page rather than just patrolling recent changes for vandalism, my work wasn't up to the standard for film articles. Your corrections are mkuch appreciated! Age Happens (talk) 05:25, 7 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
