Whether or not Michael Ramsey was ever a resident in Ramsey House I don't know (though I thought that when he came back to Durham in retirement he lived in the College - ie what everywhere else would call the Cathedral Close). But he was never a student at Chad's. He was an undergraduate at Magdalene College, Cambridge, then did ordination training at Cuddesdon. His connexion with the University began when he became Van Mildert Professor. Then he went to the Regius Chair at Cambridge, only to return to Durham as Bishop in 1952.Kranf (talk) 23:07, 16 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
