Plot Summary[edit]

To be frank, there isn't one. And knowing most students who will be looking at this as part of an early American literature course (myself included), it would be most helpful. CrashCart9 12:04, 12 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I teach toxicology, and have long wondered if the Rappaccini character was named in acknowledgement of Bernadino Ramazzini (1633-1714), known as the father of occupational medicine, who pioneered the study of poisons in the workplace.Gwyd (talk) 16:07, 14 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
