Is this article about a Rate integrating gyroscope or a Rate indicating gyroscope and are they the same thing? Biscuittin 08:13, 23 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think this article is confused. A rate integrating gyro would be perhaps a MEMS rate gyro that has an integrator such that it can output an angle, whereas a rate indicating gyro is the opposite case: a mechanical gyro rigged to show rate of change, the derivative of angle. It needs to be split into two articles. The information currently contain herein, with the exception of the first sentence, is valid for a rate indicating gyro. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.15.193.2 (talk) 16:39, 8 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
