Editing Needed
[edit]This page would benefit from some judicious editing. Whoever wrote it displays little understanding of basic grammar. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 47.16.126.55 (talk) 12:34, 15 May 2017 (UTC)
Soccer edit
[edit]Referring to football as the "correct" name of the sport also known as soccer is a POV claim and a violation of the spirit of WP:ENGVAR, a guideline that states that "[t]he English Wikipedia prefers no major national variety of the language over any other." This detail about the character should be stated simply and factually, without using a word implying a value judgement about his vocabulary. Readers can make up their own minds about which term they consider "correct". Additionally, the article football is an overview article about the many sports referred to by that name; the article for the specific sport being referred to here is association football.--ShelfSkewed Talk 14:40, 29 September 2011 (UTC)
