- Propose merge. Guessing that this is a marketing theorist's way of talking about viral marketing. Astroturfing is mentioned in the Viral marketing article, so there is some overlap. Itsmejudith (talk) 17:32, 17 January 2009 (UTC)
Viral Marketing is more like sneeze marketing. An attention catching gimmick that has a short shelf life. Referral Economy is a much more macro term that seems to capture the essence of the paradigm.
