Cleanup tags

@Kku: I don't notice anything in this article that is "written like an advertisement." Can you explain why you added these cleanup tags here? Jarble (talk) 04:37, 2 October 2017 (UTC)

Correct me if I misread something. But the Rodale part certainly doesn't do much in the way of detailing the subject. Rather, it appears to emphasize its own significance. -- Kku (talk) 08:46, 2 October 2017 (UTC)

2010s onward

The whole "2010s onward" is a hodgepodge of self-sourced passing mentions for various NGOs and their oh so relevant publications. To be clear: if independent sources cover these NGOs and their activities, then these organizations can of course be briefly mentioned as noteworthy details for this topic. But articles should not be misused as PR platform for primary-source namedropping and blatant advocacy - the section needs a complete rewrite from an uninvolved point of view based on 3rd-party sources. If some of these organizations are indeed noteworthy, it should be possible to replace the primary sources with independent secondary sources. Non-noteworthy organizations and publications without independent coverage should be removed. GermanJoe (talk) 17:06, 23 November 2018 (UTC)

Yup, not only does this article fail to explain what this new sloganeering is about (an aspirational concept/label where businesses can claim that they are sequestering carbon, irrespective of reality, by using catch-phrases and acronyms popular by alternative agriculture proponents), it is basically a place to promote books and NGOs. Will remove everything unsourced to secondary references. Leo Breman (talk) 19:07, 27 October 2019 (UTC)

Addition of recently-published book

I have reverted the addition of [1]. This seems to be a self-published work, and the author is not an acknowledged expert but publishes and promotes his publication over his own website. Unless there is some independent and non-promotional evidence that this book is a relevant and reliable major work in the field, it should not be added. Please discuss here instead of re-inserting promotional content. Also, please provide some credible evidence why this book should be used in an encyclopedia. Updates Planned as part of Course Project

Hi! As part of class we'll be editing and updating this page. We plan to update the 2010s on section to add more information on the rhetoric and research around the topic beyond that just a few books have been published. We will also add information on how it's showed up in politics recently. We'll also be adding to the criticism section. Let us know if you think anything should be specifically addressed. Steminist04 (talk) 19:29, 6 March 2021 (UTC)

Update May 08 - We've completed our updates on this page. You'll find updates to the lead, history, and principles sections, as well as two new sections Environmental Impacts and Politics and Policy. The goal was to provide some updates around the science behind regenerative agriculture and provide updates to recent discourse around it, such as companies using it and policy matters.
