Missing information[edit]

While target disk mode is an option for replacement, the article makes no mention of the currently available option of downloading automatically and installing a new OS that is available on all current Apple desktops and mobile devices. Research is needed to note when this was included, as well as the minimum requirements to do it, as it appears to be hardware related to allow it.
