Sources

[edit]

The only source for this article is the radio show's website. If that's the only source then this guys probably isn't notable. The only factual info on the website seems to be:

  • Robb Spewak is married (Cary) and has two children (Julia and Robert Jr.). His birthday is March 8, 1971. [1]

Beyond that it's just blog postings. Without more sources this article should be either cut down to the minimal sourced material or deleted outright. -Will Beback · · 22:58, 27 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have to disagree. This information is easily verifiable by doing a bit of research and/or, believe it or not, getting in touch with the show. Also, the idea that the article itself should be deleted is strictly elitist garbage that I have never agreed with. If this is going to be the compendium it aspires to be, we can't pick and choose the information that we want included. Information is information. DestradoZero 16:04, 5 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
"Getting in touch with the show" isn't how we handle sourcing. Information is informtion (for Wikipedia's purposes) if it's verifiable. See Wikipedia:Attribution. "The threshold for inclusion in Wikipedia is whether material is attributable to a reliable published source, not whether it is true." Right now we don't know how correct any of this is. Secondly, we need outside sources to establish notability. Folks who aren't "noted" aren't notable. If this guy is important some local newspaper has probably mentioned him. -Will Beback · · 23:00, 5 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I stand corrected in that regard. I realized your point not too long afterwards. However, this creates a bit of a problem, *possibly*. Don and Mike are well-known in DC, as is Robb by association. However, due to past disputes between the show and local television and newspaper representatives, they don't get as much acknowledgement. This affects Robb Spewak because it lessens the likelihood of him being mentioned in articles. This still shouldn't be a problem for the more technical things, but how does anyone verify nicknames? I've seen plenty of pages with the nicknames of certain people, but I know that very few of those have been documented in the way you describe. Either way, this information IS verifiable by listening to copies of the shows in question. Print is not the only way to verify information. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by DestradoZero (talkcontribs) 14:32, 20 March 2007 (UTC).[reply]
I very much agree with the above poster. It is ridiculous to neglect to include factual information simply because there is no print verification. Robb Spewak's information can be verified by listening to show episodes/podcasts. Citing these resources (show date, segment) should be more than enough to justify the inclusion of biographic information. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 146.145.150.226 (talk) 17:29, 14 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia's editors' reversion of so-called "vandalism" on this page serve merely to reinforce their image as tight-assed douchebags. Ist Humor verboten? The most recent "vandalism" was the subject of a good-humored segment on the March 10 Don and Mike Show, in which Robb Spewack participated. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.49.77.67 (talk) 21:40, 11 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Verified new name of Mike O'Meara's program

[edit]

"the yet to be named replacement show" needs to be deleted. The show has been verified as the "Mike O'Meara Show" by serveral audio and PRINT sources. http://www.radioandrecords.com/RRWebSite/NewsStoryPage.aspx?ContentID=WDm0rnuQBFo%3d&Version=0 is an example. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 146.145.150.226 (talk) 17:34, 14 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
