A discussion is happening right now on the fate of UFC 84. Because the outcome of this discussion could affect other MMA event pages and how/when they are created, your input would be greatly appreciated. The discussion is happening here. Re:Snapper2

[edit]

The reduced abilities section was a result of concerns over the amount of in-universe content in the article that could be detrimental to a GA run. The present abilities section, however, is rather short and could be fleshed out a bit more (see GA Sasuke Uchiha, which has three decent-sized paragraphs). Reader comprehension is as important as avoiding excessive detail. In any case, please assume good faith with his efforts, as a central goal of the past few months has been to cut down on the amount of in-universe content and related cruft that these pages were originally composed of (nothing but it rather), and recently, an attempt at GA status (although the article still needs major cleanup). If you wish to expand the section more, then go ahead, but please avoid excessive detail, be concise, and extraneous details don't need to be included. As for User:Snapper2 himself, I've known him to be a well-meaning and dedicated editor, and the "underhanded" tactics you're accusing him of are unfounded in this regard. If further conflict arises, then discuss the issue with him personally on his talk page, which I see you have not done for this issue and is certainly beneficial to avert future conflicts. Cheers, Sephiroth BCR (Converse) 11:12, 9 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Destrado, in regards to your concern on my talk, I'm neutral on this. The information does appear to be bunk yet I don't see it as excessive. You might need another person's opinion. Sorry I couldn't be of much help. Lord Sesshomaru (talkedits) 03:05, 20 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I find it difficult to have a discussion with you when you disappear for weeks at a time and, when you do surface, you wait until your next visit to respond to my comments. I do not support the meager length that is Naruto's article, as is evidenced by my bitching about it here. I would fully support lengthening it to something more akin to what can be found in the other members' of Team 7's article. At the moment it is being frowned upon for it to be any longer, so we work with the size we are allowed. As it stands, Spiraling Shuriken is used in only one battle and, under your revision, consists of half the paragraph it is in. Conversely, shadow clones and Rasengan combined take up the other half, with toads seeing no mention whatsoever. I hope you can see the reasoning behind my desire to not have one recent ability far outstrip the abilities that have been around for 200+ chapters. ~SnapperTo 04:05, 20 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

His fight with Mizuki throws to the wind the concept that his shadow clone numbers have increased. If anything they have regularly decreased since then. As to dividing Rasengan from Naruto's other abilities, that already exists in the article history. It was requested that it be made shorter, so it came to be its current length. ~SnapperTo 04:02, 21 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Volume 41

[edit]

Have you checked List of Naruto chapters (Part II)?Tintor2TalkContribs 09:11, 20 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

According to List of Naruto chapters (Part II) the volume 41 are chapters from 370 to 379. That page is not semiprotected. About Jiraiya, I cant comment about if his death. About that famous interview, it has only appeared in forums and blogs which are not reliable sources.Tintor2TalkContribs 11:38, 24 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Kishimoto sure likes to leave us hanging doesn't he?

[edit]

The whole reason that the Jiraiya infighting is going on is because Kishimoto left the Jiraiya plot where it was. I don't like it as much as the next guy, but what can we do about it? It's like the edit war on Jimmy Wales's article about his birthday. Of course Kishimoto could confirm it, but without a decent source it's all OR. Sasuke9031 (talk) 19:05, 24 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

OK, so it's not Kishimoto that likes to leave us hanging then, but it is the rest of the world. Sure he is dead. Who cares. Wikipedia operates on verifiability, not truth. Sasuke9031 (talk) 21:14, 25 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What the... ?

[edit]

You're right about that. The whole verifiability policy is ludicrous. The fact is it's still policy, and if that makes you want to quit, by all means. I am thinking about doing just that (mostly because my computer is screwing up). Sasuke9031 (talk) 21:08, 26 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

WP:FILMS Questionnaire

[edit]

As a member of WikiProject Films, you are invited to take part in the project's first questionnaire. It is intended to gauge your participation and views on the project. At the conclusion of the questionnaire, the project's coordinators will use the gathered feedback to find new ways to improve the project and reach out to potential members. The results of the questionnaire will be published in next month's newsletter. If you know of any editors who have edited film articles in the past, please invite them to take part in the questionnaire. Please stop by and take a few minutes to answer the questions so that we can continue to improve our project. Happy editing!

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
