Subject Branch[edit]

MechWarfare resides in, but does not fit neatly in the definition of Robot Combat. This page discusses robot combat as a single type of competition since it was written prior to the advent of new types. The intent is to provide readers with an awareness of an evolving and developing community and event type, and possibly provide the genesis another page in the process. I'm not certain that the recent addition of 'Mech Warfare' fits well in this article. I would support a new page on the topic that links to the 'Robot Combat' page, but this is clearly a seaparate branch of robotics without direct relation to the style of robot combat discussed here. After due consideration, I removed the Mech Warfare sections from the article. It is only indirectly related to classic robot combat and should have its own article linked to the robot combat page. Run Amok (talk) 16:11, 2 November 2011 (UTC)

History Timeline[edit]

Solely for the purpose of continuing the timeline, I've added RoboGames to the History section so that readers can understand that Robot Combat is alive and well (as of 2011). Brant Fetter (talk)

Unverified Claims?[edit]

The 'unverified claims' tag added to the Robot Combat page says to look to the 'talk' section for guidance, but there is no guidance here. I would appreciate either guidance or the removal of the tag.Run Amok (talk) 23:24, 31 August 2009 (UTC)

OK, nine new references are in place to support the alleged unverified claims. I'm removing the tags based on these new references. If teh support is inadequate, I would appreciate some guidance rather than just the return of the flags, please.Run Amok (talk) 16:56, 4 September 2009 (UTC)

A sport?[edit]

Can robot combat be considered a sport?
