School Address Issue
[edit]To pre-empt any arguments that may occur over the school address (see recent edits), the address of the school was officially changed in May of 2006. Thedarxide 09:08, 17 May 2006 (UTC)
The postal address may have changed, but I doubt that the school's location has. 192.85.50.2 09:54, 17 May 2006 (UTC)
I think interpreting 'Location' as literal is a little pedantic. The school's address is Chandos Road, and the school's entrance is on Chandos Road. Thedarxide 11:48, 17 May 2006 (UTC)
Fair enough. I didn't realise the school's entrance is on Chandos Road; I've only ever accessed it from Brookfield Lane off London Road. Also the inclusion of the postcode would suggest it was supposed to be a postal address rather than a location. No doubt Bucks CC, Ofsted, DfES, etc. will eventually amend the address that they all hold. 192.85.50.1 12:11, 17 May 2006 (UTC)
Brookfield Lane is an unadopted highway, we have no control of it, and with the new houses being built off of it, and new footpaths being put in, it was felt that traffic should be directed to Chandos Road, which has been the main entrance for many years. Bucks CC approved the address change weeks ago, it will be interesting to see how long it takes for them to change their pages.... Thedarxide 12:23, 17 May 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for the clarification. 192.85.50.1 12:34, 17 May 2006 (UTC)
School address changed to school location to be in line with entries for other Buckinghamshire secondary schools. 192.85.50.2 11:58, 7 July 2006 (UTC)
Badge image
[edit]I've removed the badge image as it is a poor quality screenshot and the school has not given permission for it to be licensed under the GFDL. I'll upload a decent one under a correct license later. Thedarxide 08:30, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
- Are school badge images covered by the the Logo or Fair Use guidelines, or do we need permission to license them under GFDL? Scribble Monkey 14:21, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
- I believe that the school badge image can be legitimately used, under the logo guidelines, within this article. ~ Scribble Monkey 12:07, 19 April 2007 (UTC)
- I concur, those guidelines would be acceptable to the school. Thedarxide 13:21, 19 April 2007 (UTC)
- Thank you for confirming that. ~ Scribble Monkey 13:57, 19 April 2007 (UTC)
Head boy/girl
[edit]I left in 2001, and I'm pretty sure there wasn't a head boy or girl that year - has this changed since?
- A lot has changed since you left ;) But yes, specifically, this has just been introduced by the new Head TeacherThedarxide 14:35, 4 November 2006 (UTC)

Categories for discussion: nomination of various 'Former pupils' categories
[edit]The 'former pupils' category associated with this school has been nominated for renaming, along with all similar categories. Comments are invited at the categories' entry on the Categories for discussion page. Thank you. Occuli (talk) 15:22, 17 August 2011 (UTC)
Latin
[edit]The school's name suggests the presence of Latin in its curriculum. Although the school's curriculum documents use the word "L.A.T.I.N." as an acronym, they show no evidence of the Latin language at present being either taught or learnt from key stage 3 to 5. Helmardine (talk) 12:01, 30 June 2023 (UTC)
- Latin is currently taught at the school as an elective subject in Key Stage 4. 2A00:23C8:1291:D901:7526:BA05:867B:F725 (talk) 16:47, 24 September 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks for the clarification. Perhaps the presence of Latin as a key stage 4 option at the school should be mentioned in the article with supporting evidence from the school's curriculum documentation.Helmardine (talk) 18:53, 24 September 2023 (UTC)
