Article needs cites

[edit]

This article needs cites.
Wikipedia:Verifiability says "Material challenged or likely to be challenged, and all quotations, must be attributed to a reliable, published source."
This article has been tagged "This article does not cite any references or sources.... Unsourced material may be challenged and removed" since September 2007.
That's plenty of time. -- 201.37.230.43 (talk) 15:40, 22 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Tidy up needed

[edit]

I think some redistribution of text between Rust, Rustproofing and Rust removal is needed. Biscuittin (talk) 16:22, 22 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I suggest that Rustproofing be re-named Rust prevention and removal and that "Rust removal" (which is currently part of the phosphoric acid article) be merged with it. Biscuittin (talk) 22:20, 23 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Rustproof - something that is rust proof.
Rustproofing - the process of making something rust proof.
Shouldn't this article be reworded slightly to reflect this? Especially the first line?

Improvements needed

[edit]

An expert who can supply references to WP:RS is badly needed. To avoid overlaps with more general coverage in the article Corrosion, I have made it more explicit that this article is focused on road vehicles. Nevertheless, the article here should cover trucks, vans, and other road vehicles, which have problems and constraints very similar to passenger cars. In addition to a general improvement, the history of rustproofing methods needs expansion, as well as coverage of rust treatments worldwide. Reify-tech (talk) 16:34, 31 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
