Role in blood-brain barrier migration and Multiple Sclerosis

[edit]

A recent study (write-up at https://news.wustl.edu/news/Pages/26889.aspx ) indicates that S1PR2 has an important role in allowing cells to cross the blood-brain barrier and seems strongly correlated to areas of inflammation in the brains of persons with MS. I lack the domain knowledge to write this up but if anyone is following this page it might be worth creating a section or note on it as it has the potential to become an important area of research for MS prevention and treatment.
