Redirects

[edit]

I think we need redirects to SIGINT from Radio reconnaissance and Radioelectronic reconnaissance (the calques from Russian ru:Радиоэлектронная разведка, possibly from other languages too). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 95.133.184.254 (talk) 08:03, 11 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Is this done? I'll check. -- Charles Edwin Shipp (talk) 15:24, 18 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
only need redirects from English language phrases in common use, or foreign words in common use, not translations of foreign phrase. GraemeLeggett (talk) 21:25, 18 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

TEMPEST

[edit]

I'm thinking about adding a section on the prevention of emissions that might be used in the gathering of signals intelligence and linking to Tempest (codename), specifically in regard to ELINT. However, I thought I'd at least canvas opinion first, especially as the Tempest page needs work. That is, I think the Tempest page needs to concentrate on its defensive nature, as in the testing and manufacturing methods to prevent compromising emanations, etc., and leave the offensive intelligence gathering aspects to this here article.

"See also" is almost all USA articles...

[edit]

Hey! I've noticed that the See also section lists pretty much only American articles, with the exception of one British and one Canadian. Is it possible for someone who is more in-touch with this field to update it to link to all major international agencies (GCHQ/MI6, NSA, CIA, ASIO, ASIS, ASD, NZSIS, NZIC etc)? I'd imagine the participating countries in the Five Eyes SIGINT alliance is a good place to start. ItsPugle (talk) 14:28, 8 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
