The Sacasa family is notable in Leon Nicaragua, I am providing the early history of the family and would like to continue adding to it as my time permits. I see other Nicaraguan families have a page but none exists in Wikipedia for the Sacasa family.Ogomezsacasa 01:43, 2 July 2007 (UTC)oscar gomez
- You might find the notability guideline useful as you add the reliable sources that will demonstrate notability for this family. -FisherQueen (Talk) 01:46, 2 July 2007 (UTC)
- O.k. Roberto Sacasa Sarria (1840–1896) was President of Nicaragua from 1889 to 1891 and again from 1891 to 1893. Sacasa, a member of the Conservative Party, had many problems due to a split within the conservatives. A rebellion by ex-president Joaquín Zavala in 1893 led to liberal Jose Santos Zelaya coming to power, ending 35 years of conservative rule.
Also, Juan Bautista Sacasa (1874-1946) was President of Nicaragua from 1933-1936. Born in the town of León, Sacasa studied in the United States from 1889 to 1901, earning an M.D. from Columbia University. Ogomezsacasa 02:38, 2 July 2007 (UTC)oscargomezsacasa
- Those are definitely important individual people. Now all you need is the reliable sources discussing the importance of the family as a whole. Check out the sources in Bush family for an example of reliable sources discussing a notable family. -FisherQueen (Talk) 02:42, 2 July 2007 (UTC)

This page appears to be orphaned, and reads like a trivia section instead of an article. I'm still not convinced that it meets the notability guidelines, so I added the notability tag. Is it salvageable? At this point it seems like fodder for the AfD. GuyThatLovesBacon (talk) 01:11, 11 July 2009 (UTC)
