Early Trade

[edit]

In the "Early Trade" section, mention is made of a "Company". Can the contributor please clarify whether this is the Portuguese East India Company or the British East India Company?--Clapurhands (talk) 08:48, 6 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Kadwad

[edit]

Do we need to keep information about Kadwad on this page?

"Another important village is Kadwad situated on the banks of tributary of the Kali River, from which the name 'Karwar' has been derived. At this location the British used to have a factory and it was an important trade port in earlier days. It also had a large Muslim population and a larger mosque which was frequented by traders from Arabia and Africa."

I think the above para can be deleted, since it does not deal with Sadashivgad. It would probably be better to put it on the Karwar page.

Sadashivgad name came from a Maratha ruler, Sadashiv Rao Naik who was a Mandlik of Marathas. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 120.60.13.73 (talk) 08:28, 20 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sadishivgarh

[edit]

This redirect page contains some article information, though mostly just an infobox I migrated: [1] I don't know if any of it would be useful here, but if not, I suppose it could be removed. —PC-XT+ 04:35, 4 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
