Wiki is NOT a news service[edit]

I am glad "Salsburgh wiki" has been tidied up and improved. Well done to all! (Especialy karaokemac)

However some material is not appropriate for wiki. eg "The group is in danger of ceasing operations if more members do not join."

As ever I am reluctant to remove enteries, but like last time I will give it two weeks before I get my scissors out!

Remember guys, please try to SOURCE your facts. Imperialmint (talk) 20:55, 27 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have been more than generous with my trimming of the articel. I will NOT allow karaokemac to contrinue using this site as a news sheet. If this page is returned as is, I will have the page removed completly. Imperialmint (talk) 21:03, 5 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Tidy Up and New Additions[edit]

I have tidyed up the Salsburgh wiki and placed holders for new sections which i am currently gathering the info for to put it into the wiki article, hope this has improved the article a little and made it easier to read. Karaokemac (talk) 07:28, 29 March 2009 (GMT)

This article could do with some sympathetic pruning[edit]

Having come across this article randomly, it was an interesting read, but I do think it needs some significant editing, and that a fair bit really ought to be cut out entirely. What's appropriate for a community magazine is not necessarily appropriate for Wikipedia, and I think that problem is evident here. As an example, there is really no need for the list of street names; any particularly significant streets can be mentioned in the main text. As another example, Wikipedia is not the right place to advertise meetings, groups etc. The underlying principle is that articles should be objective, and should not reflect the views or opinions of those writing them. Salzburg, Austria[edit]

Does the village name have anything to do with that of the Austrian city? At least add a note saying not to be confused with the Austrian city of Salzburg. 2A00:23C7:5882:8201:3967:66F1:E0FF:CD8E (talk) 00:07, 17 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
