The spellings "sangar" and "sanger" seem to be used interchangeably. "Sangar" seems to be much the more popular, but it seems "sanger" has gained such currency in official British military publications, and reliable independent media reporting on British military doings, so I think we're remiss to not mention that here (and in the dab at Sanger). Some cites:
